I would like to introduce myself. My name is Amanda Mackenzie and I am the School Home Support Practitioner. I am in school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and am available from 8.30am – 4.00pm. My role in our school is to support children and their families to get the most from the educational opportunities on offer. I act as a link between home and school: listening to you, offering practical suggestions and advice, facilitating drops-ins and workshops, and organising adult learning courses.
I run the Stay and Play/Toy Library on Monday from 1.30 – 3.15 in the Portacabin.
There are also regular parents’ drop-in sessions in the Portacabin if you need information, advice or guidance. Please look out for times and dates.
Please make sure you look at the live channel TV and school newsletters for up and coming events.
If you have any ideas about what you think parents would like, please come and have a chat with me. You can find me in the playground before and after school on my working days.
I look forward to meeting you all soon,
School Home Support Practitioner
